Do I have to be a pro to start training/working-out at your fitness gym?

At Golden Gloves Fitness, we maintain an open-minded, fun atmosphere, where anybody can join and become all the best they can be. You can be beginner, pro or in between and we will work your way up from your level! From children’s classes to adults, we have the right program especially tailored for you. We’re different by having smaller classes and we have a more of a professional approach when it comes to your fitness and boxing goals & requests. Overall,  our goal is to make it easier for you to get into the shape that you always desired.

What are my options at your fitness location?

You may choose from our packages or a  pay-as-you-go option. There are no sign-ups, membership fees or contracts. It is all about you and your health & wellness when you come to our center. If you wish, you may request 1-on-1 private sessions with the coach or in small groups 2 to 3 people. Yes, they can be your friends or they can be appointed by our head coach, Alex, who has been coaching athletes like you for decades. He is also here for (but not limited to): weight advise, fitness, boxing, health and wellness expertise. He is looking forward to be coaching you and hearing out your requests. We’re located near Jane & Hwy 7, on 207 Edgeley Blvd., Unit 14 (L4K 4B5) and we’re open from Monday to Friday 7 am to 9 pm and on Sundays, 8 am to 2 pm.

What do I need to do to start exercising at your sports center?

All you need is your gym clothes and letting us know when is a good time for you to come in. At Golden Gloves Fitness, your 1st class is free as a trail. We have separate change rooms and free parking in the front so that you can start working-out right away! Our exercises are intense and are always challenging at your pace. Your 1st class will look like this:

  • Warm up, stretching and doing light cardio/ abdominal work
  • Once you have broken that sweat, our coach will work on your exercising techniques
  • Light bags and sometimes partner training
  • Light weights and then proceeding to heavy bags
  • Heavy weights and continuing onto other heavy bags, all the time being instructed by our coach
  • Cool down period with the skipping rope, abdominal work and cardio

After performing all these exercises, our coach will be able to assess your level and continue to build your way up to that athletic body that you always wished for. Afterwards, he will implement different approaches and strategies to achieve your goals as a fit & strong individual. On wards, each and every class will be different and you will learn new techniques and exercises, guaranteed.
